When you feel stuck or need to pivot, we let the insights lead – finding the perimeter of a conversation rather than the center. What’s around the corner? What are possible, probable, and preferred futures?
We facilitate strategic meetings that open up the thinking rather than do what you’ve always done. We help you diverge and converge, and design an action plan with recommendations for you to uniquely contribute to your field. Everyone’s a participant and everyone walks away with new inspiration, not only serving the strategy but learning and growing together.
Imagine your partners working more closely together, reaching beyond the usual suspects. Beautiful collaborations sparked, even between competitors.
We design multi-sector stakeholder conversations to cross-pollinate ideas that make your field more resilient and create a multiplier effect. Our goal is to reimagine systems – new policies, norms, narratives, structures, and strategies – that lead you and your partners to the next horizon of impact.
How can new solutions scale to impact? Imagine building entrepreneurial ecosystems that make them flourish.
We bring cohorts of entrepreneurs together to help them go-to-market, develop strategic partnerships, and produce public goods. We de-risk your investments by building capacities and lead learning in short-cycle experiments. This allows you to see what’s emerging so you can double-down on the most promising opportunities.
I am a designer by heart, a strategist by nature, and an educator by training. Fifteen years in philanthropy at the Gates Foundation and another two decades in the public sector helped me dream big, move quickly, and fail fast. I have advised national education and state workforce development leaders and launched a variety of local change efforts from revolutionizing school lunch to designing new college/career pathways for high school students.
I’m curious about how to build creative thinking and risk-taking into the DNA of an organization; reinvent the role philanthropy plays in civil society; and find better ways to help women of color in leadership positions navigate transitions.
I never need an excuse to shop at a farmers market, visit an art gallery or dive into a swimming pool. I live in Oakland, CA and my greatest joy is cooking delicious food for my amazing husband and three beautiful children.
As a product and innovation leader, I help organizations navigate ambiguity, prototype possibilities, and create new products. I also serve as Berkeley-Haas innovation & design faculty and Nasdaq entrepreneurship advisor–specializing in product, leadership, and strategic foresight. I previously led zero-to-one product at Deloitte Digital.
I started Craft Futures with Carina to develop innovative leaders who are more responsible & responsible leaders who are more innovative.
At my best, I am facilitating teams through gnarly problems. Or running along the San Francisco Bay. Or tweaking brew methods in my lifelong quest for coffee perfection! Also karaoke.
